Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey, your help is greatly appreciated.

This survey is part of a project which aims to examine the development of adult safeguarding policy from the perspectives of both policymakers and those who have sought to influence policy. The value of utilising lessons from real life scenarios and from organisations that are experienced influencers is emphasised.

This survey seeks to explore the different approaches to exerting influence, taken by people with learning disabilities and their organisations, on the specific policy and procedural area of adult safeguarding. It will take no more than 15-20 mins to complete and all responses are confidential. By completing the survey you are consenting to your answers being included in the evaluation.

Your answers will be sent to the researchers at Queen’s University, Belfast and will contribute to the overall project outcome.  We will follow up the survey with a telephone interview with a small number of respondents.

The study is funded by Disability Research on Independent Living & Learning (DRILL) and is led by Queen’s University, Belfast in partnership with Association for Real Change UK, Compass Advocacy Network, NI; Praxis care, NI; Mencap Cyrmu, Wales; Richmond Fellowship, Scotland, and Ann Craft Trust England.
