A change of pace, fresh air, breath-taking scenery and a beautiful object handmade by you

This new venture of Rob Hill & Claire Acworth aims to deliver residential craft courses in the hills just outside Ruthin, north east Wales. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wernog Wood is a hidden gem, right in the heart of the Clwydian Range. Our beautiful oak and ash woods are teaming with birds and wildlife, bluebells and wild garlic. Just 200m from Offa’s Dyke and footpaths in every direction, you can enjoy evening walks in the heather covered hills, down into Ruthin, or along Offa’s Dyke itself to a variety of rural pubs.

Courses will be responsive to your requests. Dependant on planning permission, we will also offer camping and comfortable woodland cabins for people attending courses or ejoying a holiday in the area.

Wernog is easily accessible, just off the A494 between Ruthin and Mold. Only 20 miles from Chester.

Your responses will help us to offer relevant courses and provide evidence to the planning department that this facility will be used.
