Committee Chair Application Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming a BSI committee chair. BSI is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community of standards-makers and welcomes all applications. Being a committee chair is an important leadership role and one which requires a close and effective working relationship with BSI.

To help us in progressing your application to the next stage, please provide us with all of the required information (marked with a *) on the form below. If you have any questions or need an alternative means of applying, please contact standardsmakers@bsigroup.com.

Please note that your CV and the information you provide about yourself and your employment will be shared with BSI colleagues who manage the committee you are applying to chair and, where applicable, the BSI Chair Selection Panel and the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee (SPSC). This information may also be shared with the members of the committee but the final decision rests with BSI.

Responses to the “additional information” section of the application are entirely optional. Any responses you do choose to provide help BSI understand the diversity of our applications for Chair roles and promote diversity and inclusion in standards-making. Responses will be anonymized (your personal details removed) before they are used for diversity reporting or analysis purposes. Responses are not used when assessing your application, nor is a decision not to provide any responses.

Please note that we are unable to accept general or prospective applications for Committee Chairs; you must apply for a specific committee where there is a Chair vacancy. If you have not already done so, please check for vacancies on our website here.
