Thank you for participating in our survey. Your views are important.

Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy (DCM) is the condition of spinal stenosis due to degeneration of cervical spinal structures (bone, disc or ligaments) leading to cervical spinal cord compression (myelopathy) and spinal cord dysfunction.

DCM is the commonest cause of spinal cord damage and treatment is largely limited to surgery.  Physiotherapy is often provided as part of rehabilitation after surgery. After searching the available literature, we were surprised to discover that there is little evidence to support post-operative physiotherapy and there are currently no studies investigating this. To enable us to get a better picture of current post-operative physiotherapy practice for DCM in the UK and the views of those who are doing it, we would really appreciate if you could complete this short survey.
