The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) Healthy Eating Week 2016 is taking place from 13th-17th June. The purpose of BNF Healthy Eating Week is to provide a dedicated week in the year where UK workers and school children can simultaneously focus on healthy eating and drinking, and physical activity, in order to encourage healthier living.

Promoting health in the workplace has many benefits for employers and employees, including increased productivity, reduced staff turnover and improved staff morale.

For the Week, we are setting five health challenges:
* have breakfast;
* have 5 A DAY;
* drink plenty;
* get active;
* try something new.

There will also be a special focus on behaviour change techniques including ‘nudges’, ‘buddies’, ‘rewards’ and ‘targets’ to help colleagues succeed with the health challenges.

Your BNF Healthy Eating Week in the workplace will need to be tailored to the employees of your organisation. You will need to decide what activities will take place and when. To help you plan your week we have developed the following downloadable resources:
* a planning guide;
* a poster;
* the BNF Healthy Eating Week logo, and challenge and behaviour change technique ‘icons’ for you to use on your own resources (e.g. canteen menus);
* a health tracker.

We hope the Week will help you to build on your business’ workplace health initiatives.

To participate, please complete the form.

We would be delighted to hear what you are planning for the Week, and what you do during the Week, so do get in touch. You can contact us or share your plans in the following ways:
