Project planning and fundraising workshop

The aim of the fundraising workshop is to increase capacity of young conservationists to obtain funding and to raise the quality of applications to the Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) and other small grants programmes. CLP is currently requesting applications for $15,000 Future Conservationists Awards.
During this workshop, participants are guided through the entire project development and proposal writing process and acquire in-depth information on a range of proposal-related topics.
Participants are first introduced to the basics of project planning and design, and they learn how to use a variety of project development tools. Participants then go through the proposal writing process, learning how to describe their project in the most attractive way and how to “make their pitch” to a selected donor. They also learn how to find donors, how to develop and maintain relationships with them, and how to develop fundraising strategies and plans.
We are planning to deliver the training between the hours of 9am-12pm (British Summer Time) from 7th -18th September 2020 (week days only) using a mix of online tuition, one-to-one proposal reviews and individual writing.
