Message from the Police & Crime Commissioner, Darryl Preston

This survey is your opportunity to really tell me what you think about the neighbourhood in which you live and how you feel about the issues of crime and disorder in your community. I think it’s incredibly important to listen to the views and opinions of young people – you are a significant part of the county and very often an overlooked section of the community. This survey is all about young people having a clear voice – and particularly on the worrying issue of serious violence.

As Police and Crime Commissioner I am an elected official who is responsible for ensuring that the voice of our communities is heard and that the police services that are provided reflect those voices. My job is to hold the Chief Constable – the most senior officer for policing in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough – to account for the delivery of policing. It is absolutely essential that young people are confident about the policing in their local area. It is my job to ensure that you can be confident about the police in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Thank you for taking part in this survey – it will make a great impact on the decisions that are made in the months ahead of us.

Have a Happy Christmas and a wonderful start to 2023.
