ABOUT THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

The Plan is an important and powerful tool which will provide our community with future statutory powers to shape how the Parish of Winthorpe and Langford develops over the next 10 years.

So what is a Neighbourhood Plan and what does it mean for us?

In very simple terms, a neighbourhood plan is:
  • a document that sets out planning policies for the neighbourhood area
  • written by the local community, the people who know and love the area, rather than the Local Planning Authority
  • a powerful tool to ensure the community gets the right types of development, in the right places
  • documents and supports the important history, facts, green spaces, footpaths, buildings, amenities and the general future of the Parish
So please complete the questionnaire, it's your chance at this early stage, to have your say and contribute to the plan development. There will also be a wide range of Focus Groups looking at topics within the plan, so there will be more opportunity for you to influence the content and maybe get involved.
It's all about shaping the future of your area where you live or work!
