Welcome

In 2013 we sought your detailed views on a range of priorities for sustainability and improvement of our villages, which were published in the Village Plan. The next step is to produce a Neighbourhood Plan that will help us deliver our collective vision and enable us to define planning policies that must be taken into account when decisions on planning applications are made. Having a Neighbourhood Plan will put us in a strong position, enabling us to determine where and what types of development are permissable. A Neighbourhood Plan is community led and agreed by referendum, so it reflects your views.

At the Village Meeting on 16 May this year, strong support was given by attendees for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan to achieve our current objectives, which are to:

  • Ensure a sustainable, viable community through maintaining and improving amenities
  • Review housing needs to support growth and provide possibilities for younger people and families to buy while allowing older residents to downsize
  • Protect and enhance the natural environment
  • Reduce the impact of traffic
  • Improve the network of footpaths and cyclepaths
  • Promote the village as a visitor destination

In this short survey we are asking: are the results of the 2013 Village Plan questionnaire still relevant?

We would be grateful if you would answer these questions as we restart the Neighbourhood Plan. The survey should take just 7 minutes to complete!
