Information on who you are

LEAP Sports Scotland is committed to breaking down the structural, social and personal barriers which prevent lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people across the country from accessing, participating and excelling in Scottish sports.

In order to achieve this in Ayrshire, we are delighted to be partnering with Ayrshire LGBTQ.  We want to understand what people's experiences of sport* have been in the past and how much access they feel they have to sport now. This is particularly important when it comes to responding to specific issues that have been identified by the people we work with and for. Many members of the Ayrshire LGBTI community have approached us over the last year and expressed either a lack of accessible sport in the area, a lack of networks to take part in sport, or a desire to get a new initiative to get fitter and healthier.  To make a start on tackling this, we need to know more about your experiences and what you want to see in the area.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey in order to help us assess sports provision and participation in Ayrshire, so that we can help enable the local LGBTI community to engage with and enjoy sport.

*Please note that we have a very broad definition of sport which might include fitness, recreation and outdoor activity.
