Introduction

Ards Football Club is exploring the potential development of a new football and community stadium at the Floodgates site in Newtownards, which would provide the Club with a permanent home in the town. Whilst the stadium would be a hub and a base for Ards FC activity, it is the intention of the Club to ensure that the facility will be open and inclusive for the whole community to participate in sport, community and physical activity once operational.

With this in mind, Ards FC have developed an online survey to provide local people with the opportunity to inform the potential development. The purpose of the survey is to identify local needs, explore any gaps in existing provision and assess the viability of a number of potential development options.

Extensive community consultation will underpin a business planning process to help inform the need and demand for a potential facility development. This will include engagement with local residents, community / voluntary organisations, statutory agencies, political representatives and other key stakeholders.

In order to ensure that the facility is aligned to and best meets the needs of residents within the Newtownards and surrounding areas, this online questionnaire will provide an initial opportunity to help shape the project.

The questionnaire takes around 7 minutes to complete and your response will be anonymous so please be as honest as possible.

Completed hard copy survey responses can be handed to an Ards FC board member, scanned and emailed to secretary@ardsfc.co.uk or posted to Andrew Rodgers (Ards FC Secretary) 6 Londonderry Hill, Comber, Co. Down, BT23 5EY.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this short questionnaire.
