Head Office will check your entitlement available and refer on to your Home Manager to authorise or decline depending upon annual leave entitlement and rota cover.
     
All employees must complete a Holiday Request Form at least 4 weeks in advance of dates requested.

The maximum length of one holiday period is 2 weeks.  Any requests for annual leave longer than 2 weeks must be accompanied by an explanation below and requires special authorisation.  This will only be approved exceptional circumstances.

Annual leave entitlement needs to be split across the holiday year which runs from 1 April to 31 March.  One half of annual leave to be taken between April and September, one quarter between October and December, one quarter between January and March.  If you do not take annual leave in accordance with this arrangement you may forfeit annual leave.

Never book any accommodation or make any travel arrangements until you have received written confirmation that your holiday request has been authorised.

If the dates you have requested are not available you will be asked to arrange alternative dates.  The employer may set holiday dates by giving you appropriate notice.

Your entitlement to paid holiday is set out in your Contract of Employment and the company annual leave policy. 

Staff are not entitled to additional days off even if they ask for them to be unpaid.  In special circumstances requests for additional unpaid compassionate leave will be considered on an individual basis by the Home Manager.
