Advanced Self-Shooting

Date: 1st and 2nd June 2020
Location: BBC Scotland, 40 Pacific Quay, Glasgow G51 1DA

Description
Take your self-shooting to the next level

Course Content
Supported by Progressive Broadcast Hire, Glasgow, this intensive course is aimed at those who have some self-shooting experience but want to take it to the next level.

The content is very much dictated by the participants covering familiarisation with the C300, making the most of the 'large sensor look’, using prime lenses, shot composition, working handheld and more advanced lighting and sound tricks.

Many of the skills learned on this course can be applied to any camera or shooting format, meaning this course will be of benefit to you regardless of which camera/s you have access to.

Tutor
The course is led by Mark Hampshire, a freelance lighting cameraman with over 25 years’ experience. Having been a senior cameraman at Reuters, Mark moved into current affairs and spent many years on the major BBC and ITV current affairs programmes. Mark has worked on dozens of prime time documentaries and also worked on ITV as a live cameraman for daytime. He has worked all over the world from war zones to Hollywood and has in recent years trained dozens of self-shooting producers for both ITV and BBC.
