Welcome to the annual Adoption Barometer survey

Your responses to this survey will contribute to the UK's leading report about the lives of adoptive families, to be published by Adoption UK this summer.

The report will be the 4th annual Adoption Barometer, providing us with growing evidence to make the case for improvements to adoption policy and practice and ensure families across the UK get the support they need.

Whether you are a prospective adopter, or many years into your adoptive parenting journey, we want to hear your views.

There is a separate survey for adopted adults to share views about our 'In Focus' topic this year, which is about maintaining birth family relationships. This can be accessed here: adopted adults survey.

This is a thorough survey, so please take your time, and complete each section as fully as possible.

This survey is repeated every year so that we can build up a picture of how things are changing over time. Please focus only on your experiences during 2021.

For best results we recommend that you complete the survey on a larger screen  device, e.g. a laptop. If you are using a smaller screen (e.g. a phone) turn it on its side for best results. Some questions may require that you scroll across the screen to see all the options.

Please answer for yourself. If you are parenting with a partner, they may choose to complete the survey separately.

The survey is anonymous, though if you want us to be able to stay in touch you can leave your email address at the end.

All of your answers will be stored confidentially and securely.

Please do not use your browser's 'back' button while completing the survey. If you need to repeat a question, please use the 'previous' button within the survey.

Question Title
