Swale Borough Council has reviewed it's Air Quality Action Plan to ensure that there is a more strategic approach to improving air quality across the borough and we are now seeking your views on the proposed measures.

Air Quality Consultants were commissioned to review the data used and confirm that the measures contained in the new Action Plan will be effective in reducing air pollution in Swale and largely deliverable within the time frame of 2022.

Swale Council has limited resources and shared responsibility for some areas (e.g Highways)  therefore the focus of the plan is on the actions and measures most likely to achieve reductions in pollution. We recognise that partnership working with agencies such as Highways England and Kent County Council will be required to deliver these projects.
