Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your comments. It is much appreciated.
Survey results will be published on the wsd.org.uk website in due course.

Question Title

* 10. The GPC have been considering having recurring "set venues" for Summer School and Conferences as it is becoming more difficult to find suitable and affordable venues. Using venues which have already been successful would ensure that work is not repeated unnecessarily, would streamline organisation and ensure greater successes. It is proposed that venues around the country could be used on a rotation, enabling a greater number of members to attend. Volunteers would be recruited to organise each event using previous planning and administrative procedures.
Would you agree that this is a good idea?

Question Title

* 11. We would welcome further opinion about the suggestions in Q10 - Please add your comments here.

Question Title

Easily accessible Location - e.g. Close to Main Line Station
Summer School to be Residential onsite (rather than off-site B&B for example)

Question Title

* 13. When considering booking a place at a Summer School, are there any items listed in Q12 that you would feel to be a "deal breaker"? (i.e. This would cause you not to book at all)
Please answer as fully as you can. Thank you.

Question Title

* 14. Have you attended an AGWSD Conference before?
If yes, please answer Q15. If no, skip Q15.

Question Title

* 15. What were your reasons for attending an AGWSD Conference? (Tick all that apply)

Question Title

* 16. At the 2018 AGM we were asked to review the role of the biennial conference to see whether it is still appropriate and useful.  Please indicate if you agree/disagree with the following statements as they apply to Conference only.

Agree Neither Agree nor Disagree Disagree
The Association's finances and reputation are at risk by having expensive conferences organised by people with little or no experience
Alternate years of holding Summer School and National Exhibition would be sufficient National Activities and a short Conference is no longer needed
Conference should be renamed permanently as Guilds Gathering
This event should have a practical element along with the talks/lectures
Organising a Conference/Guilds Gathering is an increasing burden to local guild members
There is an increasing likelihood that charges for conferences will be out of reach for many guild members
Conference/Guilds Gatherings should be residential only
A one-day event with high-quality speakers would be sufficient
Holding the Conference/Guilds Gathering at "set venues", rotating the location every 4 years, is a good idea

Question Title

* 17. Communication issues have been raised many times over the last few years. As the AGWSD is bound by the GDPR legislation  we do not hold data for individual members. As all guilds are completely autonomous of the Association we rely on information being passed to members by individual guild officers. Information is also now made available online in a number of ways. Please indicate which of these apply to you. Tick as many as necessary.

Question Title

* 18. The AGWSD are working hard to improve the provision of Certificate Courses :- The Certificate of Advanced Textile Studies, Certificate of Achievement and Foundation Certificates.
Do you have any comments to make regarding these courses?

Question Title

* 19. To follow up this survey, would you be willing to be contacted again? If so could you please enter your email address here. This will be kept totally confidential and will not be published or shared.
