The primary purpose of this study is to determine virtual meeting impact on participation of women in political life.

Women are mothers of the nation and their importance in our political life cannot be over emphasised. Most developed democracies have tapped into the potentials of women's active participation in their national political life.

However, society expects women to fulfil their 'gender roles' and manage the household. The responsibility of managing the household, which they have to perform on daily basis makes it difficult for women to spend more time outside their homes. If women are not be able to fulfill their household responsibilities because they were otherwise engaged in civic and political activities, they may face domestic backlash.
