Irthlingborough Town Council are considering purchasing the section of the Town Centre car park highlighted in red below.

The car park is currently owned by three organisations, Irthlingborough Town Council (shown in orange), East Northamptonshire Council (shown in blue) and a private development company (shown in red).

The Town Council would like to hear your views regarding purchasing the area in private ownership to prevent any future development and ensure the area is retained for public parking.

* 1. Are you in favour of Irthlingborough Town Council proceeding with the  purchase of the section of the Town Centre car park currently not in the ownership of the Town Council?

* 2. Are you in favour of the Town Council taking out a Public Works Loan for the amount of £180,000 over a period of 10 years, this loan amount would also cover the costs of re-surfacing this section of the car park.

Are you in favour of Irthlingborough Town Council proceeding with the purchase of the section of car park as indicated in red if it includes a council tax precept increase of 7.5% which is the equivalent of an additional £8.35 a year for a Band D property for the purpose of the annual loan repayments?
