The ASO UK Congress on Obesity will include a mix of plenary lectures, oral communications and poster sessions and member-led symposia. The organising committee welcome suggestions from ASO members for symposia. Symposia are 1.5 hours long and the use of time and the number of contributors are flexible within the 1.5-hour time slot.
Authors are encouraged to consider the theme of the meeting this year, 'Innovation and future thinking' in their applications.
Three symposia will be chosen after review by ASO trustees. For those symposia that are unsuccessful, there will still be an opportunity to present in the form of an oral or poster presentation by submitting an abstract online via the conference website.
The deadline for Member-Led Symposia Proposals is 5 May 2019 (23:59 BST).
Note: Only ASO Members can submit a proposal. The symposia lead will have their registration fee waived, but no other expenses will be covered. All other symposia speakers will need to register and pay to attend the conference and cover their own expenses e.g. travel, hotel, etc. It is the responsibility of the symposia lead to ensure that their speakers have registered and paid to attend the conference.
