Welcome To the Survey-Background Information

About SCVO.
SCVO is an independent charity supporting charities, community groups and not for profit organisations in Sandwell. It is a member of the Safer Sandwell Partnership which is a panel of local bodies including Police, Local Authority and other interested parties working to address issues of crime and safety for all residents. A key element is listening to the needs of the victims of crime and identifying how services can be improved.

About the Survey.
This survey builds on research done 3 years ago working with voluntary organisations who support victims of crime. By participating in this anonymous survey your experience can help services improve for other victims of crime and for the community as a whole.

Your Information.
The information you give to us will be treated in the  STRICTEST CONFIDENCE. In fact we do not need any personal information, only some of your postcode, unless you wish to feature as a case study. Figures drawn from this survey will only be shared as a collection of data - no individual information or names of participants will be disclosed to any third party.

Outcomes from the survey will be shared through our website - www.scvo.info and e-bulletin later in the year. So please look to see how your feedback has helped decision makers.

Help and Support
Recalling an unpleasant experience can be uncomfortable. If you feel the need for some support afterwards then there are a range of local and national support services. For example, Victim Support (https://www.victimsupport.org.uk/ or Telephone 0300 303 1977 and speak to the Victims Care Unit). Other specialist support is available and many are listed on the SCVO website https://www.scvo.info/local-vcs-intelligence/vcs-database/ or Route2Wellbeing Portal  https://route2wellbeing.info/
