MadCovid Fund for Mentally Ill/Neurodiverse people #5
GUIDELINES: please read in full before completing the application form
VERY OCCASIONALLY SURVEYS CAN GET LOST, SO WE ADVISE YOU TO SCREENSHOT YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE SENDING IT
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help in a different language.
This fund is for mentally ill/neurodiverse people in the UK who are facing financial hardship due to COVID-19. We are offering grants up to £200 to individuals in the community, and staff on psychiatric wards for OT activities.
Money will only go to those who do not have access to other available funds from employers or through the government. We prioritise people who have children/dependents and who can show that they have exhausted other options.
Your application will need to show how COVID-19 has specifically brought about the need for extra funds. Wherever possible we will buy the requested items for you or send appropriate vouchers rather than transfer cash. We also need to see a detailed breakdown of how much you need and what for.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer every question and send the requested evidence to email@example.com.
Please do not send photographs of bodies or body parts - these are potentially triggering for us and do not constitute evidence.
Please put Hardship Fund Evidence and your name in the subject. We will not be able to process your application until we have received this and we do not have the time to chase you to provide evidence.
Occupational Therapists/ward staff
We only give out vouchers or buy particular items for OTs/ward staff – we do not send cash. We need to see a detailed breakdown of what you need and how much it is, from where. We do not give grants to those within the SLaM catchment area unless you can show us that you have been turned down for money from the Maudsley Charity. You must specify what ward you are on and your position on the application and email us from your work email so we can verify.
A condition of OTs applying to our fund is that you provide a testimonial for our website.
We do not provide grants to private companies or individuals working in OT outside the NHS.
We do not give out more than £200 to any one household.
We are a small operation, and meet once a week to discuss applications. Please be patient.
Your evidence is seen by one person only and deleted once recorded on a secure spreadsheet. We empty our Deleted Items folder every few days.
