What is Equality In Focus?
Working with partners across the industry and experts in diversity and inclusion, the team at Digital Orchard Foundation have created a training framework aimed at Heads of Department and Technical Crew.
The framework aims to help production and crew to understand and overcome inequality and injustice, contributing to creating a fairer and more representative film & television industry for all.
Whilst the framework focuses on Camera and Post-Production, as our areas of expertise, the content is relevant to all.
Unconscious bias, microagressions and other training
The framework signposts training we recommend, specifically e-tutorials on bullying & harassment, mental health awareness and introductions to implicit bias.
A key part of your learning will be some live workshops (in person or via Zoom) which provide more in-depth learning and a chance to discuss key issues relevant to our industry with experts, peers and those who personally have experienced inequality or injustice.
Digital Orchard Foundation offer training workshops for free for the industry, covering many different topics related to inequality and delivered once we have recruited sufficient participants for each session.
