Beth Culshaw, Chief Officer of the Health and Social Care Partnership, invites you to be part of the conversation to ensure that front line operational services continue to influence the Strategic Commissioning Plan and the wider Community Planning Partnership.

How we deliver services must change; demand is rising significantly whilst in real terms, available public spending is falling. We can no longer continue to provide services the same way as we have always done before – our citizens are living longer but, those living with multiple long – term complex conditions such as diabetes is increasing.

We are in extremely challenging times as the recent report by Audit Scotland (2018) points out the challenges faced by public services and acknowledges longer term robust planning is even more crucial; we must take into account factors such as the changing landscape; further changes expected considering not only the demographic changes, but changes to public spending and policy.
