Community Audit

The current Elphin Development Group was set up the following a consultation process with local Community groups, overseen by Venture International Consultancy, whose services were provided to us and paid for by Roscommon County Council.

The remit of our group is to lead and co-ordinate the implementation of the Elphin district community plan (Elphin and Hinterlands Community and Economic Plan 2020-2025). As part of our work we are examining how the Bishop Hodson Grammar School site and buildings could be developed over the medium term to meet the needs of individuals, families and groups/organisations in the area.

The Bishop Hodson site is currently under the ownership and control of a limited company, Elphin Resource Centre Limited, which has  a broadly based Board with 10 Directors who are managing this property on behalf of, and for the benefit of,  the local community.

The following are the officers and members of Elphin Development Group.

Chairperson - Frank Tiernan
Vice Chairperson - Mick Rock
Secretary - Cathal Brady
PRO - Tracy Beirne
Treasurer - Coman Brady

Other members: Brendan Fox, John Kelly, Valerie Byrne, Adrian Kielty, Gordon Murray, Deirdre Brennan and John Keane

Venture International are assisting us to assess local needs and develop a vision for the site. As part of that process we invite the views of all members of the Elphin community. We would be grateful if you could complete the following short questionnaire.
