Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Workshop
Under the 1992 DSE regulations all employers, with over five employees, have a legal obligation to provide training and carry out a risk assessment for staff who are using display screen equipment, more or less continually, as part of their day-to-day work.
Whether your staff are office or home based, this obligation remains the same.
Since lockdown, the Institute of Employment carried out a survey for people working from home and found over 50% of respondents reported new aches and pains, especially in the neck (58%), shoulder (56%) and back (55%), compared to their normal physical condition. This is most likely due to poor posture and poor workstation setup.
This course provides the training, that will then allow you to complete a full home-working risk assessment. This can be carried out by Positive Performance, at an additional cost after the training, or by your own Health and Safety Officer(s).
