Introduction

In May 2019, Dudley had its first Special Educational Needs and Disabilities OFSTED and CQC Local Area inspection.  Following the inspection Dudley produced a Written Statement of Action (WSoA) plan to improve the effectiveness of the area in implementing the disability and special educational reforms as set out in the Children and Families Act 2014.

One of the actions was to assess and improve the level of understanding of the SEND Agenda and Education, Health and Care Planning (EHCP) process amongst health professionals.

In January 2020, we asked you a few questions about your understanding which led Dr Tim Horsburgh (Designated Medical Officer) and I (Kellie Lennon- Designated Clinical Officer) to deliver SEND and EHCP training to variety of health professionals.  No the first session of training has concluded, we would therefore like you to answer the questions again which will hopefully enable us to demonstrate an increased level of understanding and help us to develop further training sessions.
