IoF Community Special Interest Group - Committee member application

Thank you for your interest in joining the IoF Community Special Interest Group committee.  The IoF Groups are run entirely by volunteers, and we're delighted that you would like to join us in creating a community of community fundraisers and championing excellent fundraising. 

 
Being an IoF Community committee member has a wide range of benefits including:
 
  • Access to discounted membership for your first year of IoF membership 
  • Opportunities for career and personal development 
  • Networking opportunities through Special Interest Group and IoF events
  • Becoming part of a peer group of professional community fundraisers
  • Potential to attend centrally organised IoF events as a representative of the Special Interest Group
  • Knowing you are making a difference to your fellow community fundraisers
To be part of the committee we ask for the following commitment:
  • To be an IoF member and sign the IoF volunteer agreement 
  • Volunteer for a minimum of one year
  • To commit to serve a full year when deciding to remain on the committee (from June to June) unless mitigating circumstances present themselves
  • Attend regular month committee meetings, more missing more than two in a row
  • Fulfilling assigned actions that pertain to your role, or as assigned by the Chair or IoF staff
  • Helping run Special Interest Group events - attending at least three in the year
  • Fulfilling any training requirements (such as data protection) as stipulated by the IoF
