St Andrews Environmental Network Community Consultation

St Andrews Environmental Network (StAndEN) have submitted an expression of interest for the Community Asset Transfer of Fife Council local office — former West Infant School, St Marys Place.

Our intentions are to keep this building in the local community and to transform it into a community environmental hub and centre for advice. We will be adapting the building to ensure that the community space is accessible for all.

If successful, we intend to have the building open 7 days per week, enhancing the facilities currently available to the community. We also seek to install a changing places as, at present, there are currently none of these facilities in St Andrews.

We will have staff available to offer advice on a number of environmental issues such as  energy efficiency—as part of our Cosy Kingdom project. We also look to provide information on our other projects such as our StAnd Re-Use Town project, a zero-waste initiative, as well as our Towards a Plastic Free St Andrews project.

There will be a large space kept for community use & we will keep interview rooms available for other organisations & groups to provide support and advice to local residents.

These are some of the ideas we have from speaking with people in the community. We are now seeking your views—please fill in the questions, including any further suggestions or comments.
