This is your chance to tell us what you think of Usk now and how you would like things to improve and develop in the future.
Usk Town Council are responsible for the Usk Ward but we are encouraging surrounding community councils and villages to also complete this survey as we are aware that the town acts as a ‘hub’ providing them with services and facilities.
The Future Usk Survey runs from Monday 9th April – Friday 28th April 2018
In addition to the online survey we are also holding two drop in sessions at The Usk Sessions House which will allow residents to come in and talk to us directly, prior to completing the survey.
Saturday 14th April 10.00 am – 12.00 noon
Thursday 19th April 4.00pm – 7.00pm
We will also be liaising directly with local groups and the school to ensure everyone gets a chance to contribute to the future development of Usk.
Some of the work that Usk Town Council is currently working on includes:
- The Gas Pipe renewal scheme both liaison with Wales and West Utilities and disseminating information to residents via Facebook and letter drops.
- Traffic Management
- A Litter initiative
- Plastic free Usk
- The Community Picnic/Busking festival
- The Reindeer Parade
- Improving communications via our upgraded Website/Facebook and Twitter
- Writing regular articles for the Usk & Raglan diary
- A Lottery grant for the renovation of the Sessions House
- The Bike Off initiative
- The Velothon
- A Town Plan for Usk’s future
In addition Councillors have regular input and liaison with all the main societies and organisations in the town including the Business Network, the Civic Society and Usk in Bloom.
