Dual Diagnosis Lived Experience (Co-occurring Mental Health Alcohol and Drugs)
Experiences of Dual Diagnosis- Introduction
Leeds COMHAD (Co-occurring Mental Health and Alcohol or Drug Use) Strategy Group aims to improve quality of practice in working with service users with co-existing substance misuse and mental health problems (Dual Diagnosis).
We want to hear from you, of your experience during a time, past or present, that you felt you were in need of /or receiving treatment for addiction and mental health.
The results of this research will be shared with the city-wide COMHAD (Co-occurring Mental Health and Alcohol or Drug Use) Strategy Group to help inform planning.
These few questions are the early stages of local research, we hope to have as many people involved as possible in order to give the most accurate view as possible.
We are striving to empower service users and ex-service users to be actively involved in all aspects of achieving the Dual Diagnosis priorities for the city. The voice of lived experience is a powerful thing and can make real change to the delivery of services.
In addition to this questionnaire, we also intend to hold a number of on-line focus groups to hear more about your experiences. If you are interested in attending these then please contact (jo.gibson@leedsinvolvement.org.uk). Also, if you would like some help to complete this survey please contact a member of the Leeds Involving People Team on 0113 2374508 and we will be happy to help.
