To celebrate the end of a year-long Awards for All funded project, we are holding an event in partnership with Drax Power Station. You will:
  • Find out more about the current services offered by the Yorkshire Energy Doctor to support households, organisations and community groups and how you can access these
  • Understand more about energy - from how it is generated to energy use in the home
  • Come on a guided walk inside the very heart of Drax Power Station to see the biomass domes, cooling towers, turbine hall, train hall and control room (2 hours)
  • Enjoy lunch in the education centre

* 4. Please note the following:
-  The event will start at 10am but you will need to arrive at 9.30am in order to have enough time to get through security
-  Any necessary personal protection equipment will be provided for the power station tour but please come in sturdy shoes and practical clothing - we have been advised by Drax that you will not be able to go on the tour if you are in open-toed shoes, shorts, a skirt, or a short-sleeved top.
-  If you can no longer attend the event then please let us know as soon as possible so we can inform Drax
