Question Title

* 5. The image above was generated by a research report into how people currently access Dartmoor and where population growth might lead to greater levels of demand. It’s designed to identify where more resources for visitors might be beneficial and where low visitor numbers might make areas better suited for other priorities, such as supporting biodiversity, in conjunction with farming.

Do you think it represents a sensible approach to identifying  and prioritising different demands on the landscape?

Question Title

* 6. Does the map above make it clear to you the possible priorities for your farm and/or common?

Question Title

* 7. What benefits do you feel there would be if maps like this were used to weight payments under ELMs to encourage specific activities in specific places e.g. if payments for biodiversity were greater for areas with less access but areas with high access were offered greater payments for actions which support visitors?

Question Title

* 8. What disadvantages do you feel there would be if maps like this were used to weight payments under ELMs to encourage specific activities in specific places e.g. if payments for biodiversity were greater for areas with less access but areas with high access were offered greater payments for actions which support visitors?

The DNPA should be responsible for information boards across the whole of Dartmoor.
The DNPA should be responsible for information boards on commons and farmers should be responsible for home farms.
Commoners Associations should be responsible for information on each common and farmers should be responsible for home farms.
