Thank you for taking part in my research.
This is a survey about musicians’ mental toughness and their use of mental strategies in relation to practising and performing. Anyone 18 years or older and currently studying classical music performance at a UK higher education institution is invited to participate. Filling in this survey should take approximately 5-10 min.


Your participation in this research is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time if you wish. You do not have to answer any question that you do not wish to answer. By filling in this questionnaire you are giving your informed consent to participate in the study. Your results can be used in further analysis only when you complete the whole questionnaire. Therefore, you are encouraged to complete this questionnaire once you start.

What will be done with my data?

The data you provide will be anonymous and confidential and will be used within a Masters dissertation at the Royal College of Music, London. Reports and presentations may be published based on findings, but you will not be identifiable from the data included.
