Mapping participation requests - one year on |
Participation requests are a new way for community groups and organisations to have their voices heard in the planning and delivery of services. The right to make a participation request to a public body was introduced as part of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act, and came into effect on the 1st April 2017.
We (SCDC) would like community groups and organisations to tell us about their experience of participation requests so far, even if, before reading this, you had never heard of them!
Please take 5 minutes to answer the following questions. This will help to build a picture of how participation requests are being used across Scotland. SCDC is an independent charity and we will be working with the Scottish Government and other partners to share learning on participation requests and to ensure that the legislation works as intended.
Please note, we have requested that you provide some details of you and your group/organisation and any participation request you have made. This is so we can get a clearer picture of where participation requests are being used. All information will be kept confidential and anything we publish based on this survey will be kept anonymous.
