Do you struggle to recruit volunteers with the right skills, experience and availability?
This practical 3-hour session will provide you with the information and tools you need to review or develop a Volunteer Recruitment Plan for your organisation, that is targeted, realistic and systematic. During the session we will:
• Reflect on creating rewarding roles that attract volunteers and benefit your organisation.
• Recognise common barriers to volunteering and consider how to overcome them
• Examine a variety of marketing channels to promote volunteering opportunities
• Identify key information to include in your volunteer advertisements and practise writing better advertisements
• Practise talking about your volunteer opportunities (‘elevator pitch’)

It takes place at Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets, Norvin House, 45-55 Commercial St, London, E1 6BD
Cost:
Our training programme is kindly subsidised by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) via a Mainstream Grant. This enables us to offer discounts to certain organisations. Cost starts at just £30.
• £30 fee for voluntary and community sector organisations that are based in Tower Hamlets (must provide a Tower Hamlets postcode) and/or Mainstream Grant-funded by Tower Hamlets Council. (These groups are also eligible to receive free consultancy support on any aspect of volunteer management).
• £59 for any statutory and commercial organisations, or organisations not based in Tower Hamlets and/or not Mainstream Grant-funded by Tower Hamlets Council.
**In order to avoid excluding very small organisations, we will reserve one free place on each course for voluntary sector organisations based in Tower Hamlets with an annual income of less than £50,000. If you would like to apply for a free space, please email evelyn@vcth.org.uk with evidence of your annual income and your contact details**.
