Play Area Improvements at Collapark, Totnes.

The Collapark play area is below Birchwood Close and above Collapark.

South Hams District Council is looking to improve Collapark play area as the existing play equipment is dated and has reached the end of its useful life. We are planning to completely renew the site, installing new equipment either wholly or partly within a fenced play area, and to make the space a more exciting one for local children and the community.

At the same time, we will also look to install new picnic benches, seating, play area fencing and gates, a bin, and new safety surfacing below equipment as required.

The District Council as owners of the site are keen to ensure the new equipment is exciting and has play value for children, whilst being mindful of the need to ensure it is safe and easy to maintain.

The aim of this survey is to find out what sort of activities you and your children/ grandchildren wish to experience in this play area to guide the specification that we put out to play design companies.

Please bear in mind when responding that first and foremost we are trying to find out what children want, not necessarily what parents want – the two might not be the same!

Please complete one questionnaire per adult/young person. Adults can of course help children as required, and can also complete a survey for themselves.
