Cochrane Iberoamerica and the Cochrane Central Executive Team have been running a feasibility study for a support initiative targeting a sample of authors from Iberoamerica, with the goal of empowering them to publish high-quality Cochrane Reviews and become mentors to other authors in the future. The support activities in the study involve directing these authors to the appropriate training resources, providing methodological and linguistic support and mentoring them in their own language. This is all done in collaboration with their corresponding CRGs.

To gain more knowledge about other existing mentoring experiences in Cochrane, we are running a short survey across Cochrane (aimed at Centres/CRGs/trainers’ networks only) to find out how Cochrane members mentor authors whose first language is not English (FLNE authors). Your answers will help us getting a thorough perspective of the present mentoring activities in Cochrane and will serve as a basis for discussion at a Special Session at the Colloquium, with the main objective of improving current and future support initiatives especially aimed at FLNE authors.

If you are a member of a Centre, a member of a CRG or a member of the trainers’ network, please take 10 minutes to complete the survey by 29 July.

Thank you for your time!
