Consultation on proposed Environment & Biodiversity Strategy

Braunstone Town Council on 23rd September 2021 approved a Climate Change and Environmental Strategy.   That Strategy contained a section “Protecting and Enhancing Green Spaces”.  The overall objective being “to protect and enhance the town’s Green spaces, promote and encourage tree planting, and seek to increase and enrich biodiversity”. 

Therefore, as part of the Climate Change and Environmental Strategy, a commitment was made to “produce an Environment and Biodiversity Strategy for our Parks and Open Spaces, which will set out the Council’s approach to tree planting and maintenance, along with the Council’s commitment to enhancing and enriching biodiversity”.
