The RCoA aims to deliver information that patients need as they prepare for an anaesthetic. Following the Montgomery ruling, as anaesthetists, we need to focus on the information regarding risk that we are giving to patients and making sure it is accessible in a way they understand and relate to.

We would like to ask for your help in finding out how our patient information resources are currently being used by your preoperative assessment teams. We also want to find out what the College can offer to better equip your patients with the information they need before and after surgery.
