Participant Research Information
1. Research Project Title What Health and Safety Obligations do Shopping Centre Landlords Have to the Public and Why do These Not Include Provisions for People with Mental Health Conditions and Invisible Disabilities?
2. The aim of this project This research project aims to assess why health and safety obligation shopping centre landlords have to the public do not include provisions for people with mental health conditions and invisible disabilities.
3. What will my participation in the research involve? You will be asked to complete an online questionnaire, which is estimated to take approximately 15 minutes.
4. Will my participation in this research be kept confidential? All information collected through the online questionnaire will be kept strictly confidential. You will not be identifiable in any reports or publications, all information reported will be anonymised. Any information collected through the online questionnaire will be password protected when stored, and this will be deleted at the end of the research project. The information will not be distributed.
5. Will the research be published? Results of this research may be published. You will not be identifiable in any reports of publications, all information reported will be anonymised.
6. Do I have to take part? Participating in this research is completely voluntary. If you do choose to participate you are free to withdraw at any time without prejudice or negative consequences, you do not have to give a reason to withdraw. The UCEM Research Ethics: Standard Consent* below must be agreed to participate.
7. What are the risks or benefits or participating in this research? Participating in this questionnaire is not anticipated to cause you any risk or harm. There are no instant benefits to participating in this research, although in the future, this research may provide benefits to those with mental health conditions and invisible disabilities when visiting shopping centres.
