Please read the below carefully before submitting your application.

Application Outline
This application form has 10 Sections.

Sections 1 - 5 consist of a series of eligibility questions. These are designed to tell us whether you meet the criteria for the Pathways programme.

Sections 6 - 9 are for uploading supporting documents and samples of your work.
 
Section 10 confirms your submission.
Sections 1 - 5
All applicants must fulfil one or more of the following criteria:

1. Come from a minority ethnic group
This means people with Black, Asian, Mixed-race or Gypsy/Irish Traveller background. Ethnicities not included as one of the categories listed will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

2. Don't speak English as their first language
This means people who grew up speaking a language other than English at home.

3. Come from a disadvantaged socio-economic background
This means people who are currently in or who grew up in disadvantaged or low income households.

Additionally, applicants must fulfill all of the following criteria:

4. Not have been published more than once
5. Not have an agent
6. Have the right to stay and work in the UK, or are EU/EEA citizens

If any of your answers indicate that you are not eligible to participate in Pathways, we will not be able to consider your application.
Sections 6 - 9
In this section you will be required to upload the following documents:

- A personal statement (written or film)
- A letter of reference (eg from a teacher, tutor, artist, colleague, employer)
- A portfolio containing five examples of your work
- A piece of artwork responding to a brief

NB. Instructions on the requirements for each of these are included in the questions. However, you can also view the artwork brief in the FAQs section of the Pathways website 
Section 10
In this section you will confirm that your application is complete and finalise your submission.

We will not consider your application until you have completed this section.
You can return to your application at any point before the deadline by clicking on the same link you originally accessed it from. However, you must use the same device every time, otherwise a new application form will be started.
