Parental alienation is a form of psychological abuse and the term given to the process and result of the psychological manipulation of a child into showing unjustified fear, disrespect or hostility towards a parent or other family member. The key word here is 'unjustified'.
The effect (and sometimes the intent) is to make a child reluctant to have contact with a normal healthy-range parent and, ultimately, to destroy the natural attachment bond the child has with their other parent.
It is caused through a pattern of alienating behaviours by one parent (often after high-conflict divorce or separation) that can be extremely damaging to children's mental and emotional well-being. The mental health of the targeted parent can also become seriously affected.
If you have children aged under 16 and are currently affected by this please can you complete this short survey.

This service is FREE. We do not believe parents should have to spend thousands fighting to see their own children. It is both immoral and grossly unfair
We believe all children have the fundamental right - which is enshrined in UK law - to benefit from the love and support of both sets of parents and their respective extended families. That is on the basis that it is safe for them to do so.
Good Egg Safety intends to share the findings of this survey with the Minister of Justice, Ministers, and Cafcass to shine a powerful light on the grave injustice of alienation and the extent to which it is prevalent in our society.
This is not only to help targeted parents but also, and especially, to help alienated children who are affected deeply from this kind of psychological abuse.
Emotional abuse which, if not immediately addressed, will potentially result in life -long attachment issues and many other mental health problems.
