Your views on Homeshare in Norfolk

Homeshare brings together older people with spare rooms with younger people who are happy to chat and help with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking and cleaning, in return for affordable, sociable accommodation.

The older person has company, an overnight presence and importantly support with practical tasks. Anyone can be a householder as long as you have a comfortable spare room and would benefit from the company and help around the house.

The types of young people who usually access Homeshare include; undergraduates, postgraduates, young professionals and key public sector workers all people who traditionally can benefit from affordable accommodation when starting out on their careers.

There are Homeshare schemes across the UK and further afield but nothing like this is currently in place in Norfolk. We want to find out what you think about Homeshare and if it is a service you might consider using in the future.
