MBTAG Final Survey - Impact and Evaluation – Please take 5 minutes to complete this survey. Your input is not only invaluable, but it will also help us shape the legacy of MBTAG through the new South of Scotland Destination Alliance (SSDA) and Midlothian Tourism Forum (MTF). DEADLINE Tuesday 3rd November 10am.

 Our ask from you today. The funders of MBTAG require the collection of data and insights to enable an economic evaluation to be completed which is in line with the conditions set out in the terms of the grants awarded to MBTAG and for us to demonstrate the success of the two phased project. In addition to this, the answers to this survey will help SSDA and MTF understand what you need as a tourism business going forward.

It should only take you a few minutes and we appreciate there have been many surveys at this time, but this one is equally important for our destination and our future, now more than ever.

We are keen to understand the use of digital by tourism businesses in the area. The following 2 questions (Q16 &17)  will help us to identify how SSDA and MTF  may be able to help further develop the industrys use of digital with key industry partners.  Please note that this will help us with future activity.

MIDLOTHIAN BUSINESSES ONLY  ‘with many changes to the tourism landscape in Midlothian with Covid-19, but also with the conclusion of MBTAG and the birth of SSDA, the Midlothian Tourism Forum steering group want to engage with businesses to hear what they think Midlothian Tourism Forum’s focus should be with their limited resources. To ensure that they are as effective as they can be to support Midlothian’s tourism recovery. To this end, could you please prioritise the below options from 1-5 (1 being the most important).

o Marketing – promotion of Midlothian’s tourism offering
o Business Support – training, events and business development activity

With the MBTAG programme now finishing, SBTP has evolved into a newly formed DMMO (Destination Management Marketing Organisation), the South of Scotland Destination Alliance (SSDA). Thank you for completing the annual survey for MBTAG. We appeciate you taking the time to do this, we know how precious time is right now but as I say, the legacy lives on and SSDA and MTF will take the reigns from next week and our destinations will shine once again.
