Survey for UK Furniture Manufacturers & Designer Makers
I would like to invite you to take a few minutes to complete my Doctoral Research Survey, which will provide supporting data for the future direction of my research.

I have been involved with the Furniture Manufacturing Industry for over 30 years, both in the UK and Overseas. I was awarded a Scholarship by the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) to undertake Doctoral Research in the area of Design for Sustainable Manufacturing at Brunel University London.

The aim of the Survey is to gauge current usage and perceptions of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing Technologies) in the UK Furniture Industry. Similar surveys have been undertaken amongst european manufacturers, but to my knowledge none in the UK.

The overall focus is, through experimentation and research in digital technologies, the development of 'an integrated concept for the future manufacture of generatively designed, environmentally sustainable, customised furniture using robot based additive manufacturing'  A case study examining the various developments will be undertaken alongside the physical development of an integrated robot cell to prove the concept.

The results of this initial survey will serve as a foundation for the development of future research directions & strategies.

I would be very grateful indeed for a small amount of your time to complete the Survey, as the data will be invaluable. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

All data provided is anonymous and the Survey has been scrutinised and given approval for distribution by the Brunel University Research Ethics Comittee.

Thank you very much for your assistance it is very much appreciated !
