What is being surveyed?

The aim of this survey is to inventory the current state of museum work of CIDOC members by looking at their use of standards.

What is in the survey?

The survey has 9 sections:
  • Information about your organisation and you
  • Description of your collections
  • Digital object standards
  • Metadata standards
  • Date format and time period terminology
  • Subject terminology
  • Person and organisation terminology
  • Geographic name terminology and co-ordinate standards
  • Intellectual property rights (including copyright) 
Who should fill in the survey?

The on-line survey should only be filled in by members of CIDOC.

This form ( should be used to gather all the information you need to fill in the on-line form.

You may need to contact colleagues who can answer some of questions.

How to use the on-line form

You must complete the survey in one session.

You cannot leave the survey incomplete and come back at a later time to complete it. There are 88 questions. 

To go to the next part of the survey click of the 'Next' button at the bottom of each page. You can go back (use the 'Prev' button) to previous pages in the survey and update existing responses until the survey is finished.
