1. SECTION A: Current provisions at your University

A sub group of the BUCS Physical Activity & Health Board have created a BUCS Running survey following feedback from members that attended the Physical Activity, Health & Social Sport Development event earlier this year. BUCS members expressed an interest to explore the opportunity of creating a national running campaign for the higher education sector.

This links to the mission of the Physical Activity & Health Strand of the BUCS strategy, "To inspire and enable our students, staff and wider community to become more active more often".

The survey aims to get an understanding from BUCS member institutions across the UK on:

1. The current walking and running provisions that are offered within the higher education sector
2. Identify if there is demand from the BUCS membership to collaborate on a sector-wide weekly running campaign
3. Identify universities that may be interested in engaging with the opportunities that parkrun can provide, in creating regular running opportunities.

Completing the Survey

Where possible, only one member of staff per institution needs to complete the survey. The most appropriate person is likely to be the member of staff at your institution who is responsible for creating physical activity or social sport programmes. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey.

The survey will remain open until Thursday 31 May 2018.
