Following the disruption faced by Thameslink passengers after new timetables were introduced in May last year, GTR (Govia Thameslink Railways) will contribute £15 million towards a Passenger Benefit Fund to be used to provide tangible benefits for passengers.

Taking into account the inconvenience suffered by passengers here in Elstree & Borehamwood, our station has been allocated a potential grant of £80,000. This is a new fund and has nothing to do with refunds paid to individual customers.

We are asking local passengers and stakeholders to let us know how they would like to spend the fund by completing this survey.

Please suggest what would benefit passengers at Elstree & Borehamwood and/or provide ideas for schemes that would benefit passengers across all stations.

In order to give enough time for your ideas to be taken into account when we prepare our bid to GTR, please respond to this survey by 15th July.

NOTE GTR has provided examples of such schemes on its website:

 - Adding delay notification functionality to the Thameslink app
 - Provision of real-time, relevant station and journey information either in station or through the app (e.g. lifts or toilets out of service)
 - Improving the communication of alternative end-to-end journey options (like
‘Waze’ for road travel) during disruption
 - Improving the information provided during and post disruption in stations or
through the app
 - Keeping station toilet facilities open 24/7, with accessibility via the Key Smartcard
