Participant Selection Questionnaire Suzi Godson PhD Research
"Thank you for listening to my story so well. You seemed genuinely interested and I really appreciated having the chance to talk to someone who did not judge what I was saying. Talking to you actually helped me see how far I have come over the past 2 years"Research Participant, February, 2017
Thank you for taking the time to fill in this short questionnaire. It has been designed to ensure that participants meet the specific research criteria for my study. If you are selected for the study and you agree to participate, you will be interviewed twice; once when you join the study and again, a year later.
The primary aim of the study is to understand the experience of midlife divorce for women whose children are adults. The study will also compare the experience of using mediation against the experience of using lawyers to negotiate a divorce agreement. This will provide much needed insight into the benefits or challenges of each path to divorce. The study has ethical approval from Birkbeck university and my supervisor is Jonathan A. Smith.
