Heat pump and geothermal use on Islay / Jura / Colonsay
As part of the GeoAtlantic project Islay Energy Trust is looking at the potential for using heat pumps and geothermal technology for heat and hot water in homes and businesses on Islay / Jura / Colonsay.
The first thing we'd like to do is understand who is already using these renewable energy sources on the three islands so, if your home, business or the place you work uses geothermal energy or heat pumps we'd love to find out a bit more.
Completing this survey doesn't commit you to anything and we won't publish any information which personally identifies you (we would like to be able to say x number of homes in Bowmore use heat pumps for example, but we won't say which ones unless we get your express permission to do a case study on you).
The information you provide will help us understand what does and doesn't work on the islands and how we might help other people use these systems to improve energy efficiency, reduce our impact on the environment and, potentially, generate income for the community.
